Layered Dimensions
Depth as subject. Multiple translucent layers build up like geological strata or archaeological digs — each one revealing and concealing the layers beneath. Rich, semi-transparent overlays create compositions that change as your eyes adjust, rewarding sustained looking.
I think of these paintings as time made visible. Each layer is a moment, laid over the last. You cannot see every layer at once, just as you cannot hold every memory simultaneously. But they are all there, shaping the surface.
